How to Run Murphy Point

The 360°VR photos above start at the Murphy Trailhead.

This stunning trail takes you through grassy desert plains out to the rocky, cliffed edge of Island in the Sky. The whole way, your skyline will be distant mountains and the rock walls that make up the perimeter of Canyonlands’ Island in the Sky district.

The trail is a straight trail with mostly sand underfoot. Keep right at the only intersection, which has a sign. The trail ends where the cliff begins. Careful not to get too close to the edge! Return back the way you came.

Note: There is no water or shade on this trail.
